Combination No. 1 Cucumber + green apple + celery + ginger ( additional ingredients: lemon, soda, salt, mint, basil)

Combination No. 2 Carrot + pear + orange + apple + grapefruit additional ingredients: mint, ginger, lemon)

Combination No. 3 Cherry + strawberry + grenadine/pomegranate syrup (additional ingredients: lime, chocolate chips and syrup, caramel syrup)

Combination No. 4 Melon + pear + ripe pumpkin + papaya + coconut milk + banana (additional ingredients: Vanilla syrup, BlueCuracao syrup, mint, basil)

! Smoothies made from pears, apples and bananas quickly oxidize and darken in air. To prevent this from happening, add lemon juice and cinnamon.

What else does a novice bartender need to know?

To make layered drinks, you need to know the density of each ingredient.

Bookmark sequence by density:

The lightest
Ice cream/whipped cream
Freshly brewed coffee
Water
Juice
Syrup
Fruit puree
The densest

Bookmark sequence with ice

Decoration
Ice cream
Syrups, juices, drinks, water
Puree, fruit pieces, mint leaves

Important!

First - ice, then - drinks. The puree, berries, lemon and mint leaves are added first, and then, when the cocktail is ready, they are carefully lifted to the top with a spoon.

Preparation of bar cocktails “B52”, “Long Island” and “Medusa”

"At 52."

This is a cocktail consisting of three layers of different liqueurs. Its peculiarity is that you need to drink it in one gulp, without mixing the layers. This is a very interesting bar cocktail, and not only the method of its preparation is of interest, but also the peculiarity of the alcoholic effect on the person who drinks “B52”. The strength of an alcoholic drink in the classic version of preparation is on average 27 degrees. “B52” is not easy to prepare, so in any case it will be better prepared by a professional bartender, but you can try to make it yourself at home.

  • coffee liqueur "Captain Black";
  • Irish Cream liqueur;
  • liqueur Quantreau.

To prepare the drink, prepare a knife and a 100 ml glass.

Place the knife in the glass and carefully pour the coffee liqueur onto the blade.

Then pour in the Irish Cream liqueur in the same way. Everything needs to be done as slowly and smoothly as possible so that the two layers of liquor do not mix.

The top layer will be Quantreau liqueur; it must be poured into the glass in the same way as the two previous components.

The result should be three different layers of liqueurs that make up the drink. However, “B52” is not yet ready for use. Now the three-layer drink needs to be set on fire.

You need to drink the cocktail while it's burning, inserting a straw into the glass. Properly prepared and drunk “B52” should be cool at first, and then it becomes warmer and warmer.

Mix all the alcoholic components of the cocktail in a highball glass.

Separately, combine cola and ice in a container and pour into a glass.

For decoration, use a lemon wedge and several bright straws.

"Jellyfish".

Compound:

  • 10 ml absinthe;
  • 20 ml each of cocoa liqueur and Triple Seca;
  • 5 ml Irish Cream.

Preparation:

Alcoholic drinks should be poured into a glass in layers using a knife or bar spoon. The layers go in the following order: cocoa liqueur, Triple Sec, absinthe.

To decorate the cocktail, you need to beautifully pour Irish Cream on top - drop by drop through a straw.

Preparing bar cocktails at home is an interesting and exciting process, at the end of which you can enjoy the pleasant taste of your favorite alcoholic drink.

It’s hard to surprise Bob McNevin with an alcoholic drink: he has been working for many years as vice president of a company that is one of the industry’s flagships - Pernod Ricard. But his friends who came to visit him last summer succeeded. As a gift, they brought with them a set for making cocktails from Stirrings.

It was unlike anything McNevin had seen before - it was a simple and elegant DIY "designer" for making real cocktails at home. So thoughtful that the set included a special mixture to decorate the rim of the glass.

McNevin was so impressed by the set that he immediately wrote a letter to the founders and owners of Stirrings - two young men from Fall River in the USA. “We spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to make it easier to make spirits at home,” says McNevin. “But Stirrings mixes make it so easy. You can’t mess them up.” Pernod now plans to collaborate with Stirrings and offer sets consisting of a mix of Stirrings and Stoli vodka.

The dream of any entrepreneur is to occupy a niche overlooked by competitors in one of the main industries, and to be the first to do so. The story of the Stirrings company is a vivid example of such luck, when, despite the mistakes and miscalculations of management, a sought-after product appeared on the market at the right time. In 1997, Bill Creelman, who had previously worked on a fishing schooner, and his friend Gil McLean founded their own company.

At first, the company was engaged in primitive food delivery to neighbors. The friends' first serious success came in 2000, when they came up with a special mixture of sea salt, mint and coriander to decorate the rim of a cocktail glass. Their invention became a real hit at the New York culinary exhibition. From the mixture, the application of which was the privilege of real bartenders, there was one step to cocktail sets. “For many years, beer remained the most popular drink precisely because of its ease of consumption,” says McNevin.

Now the beer has a competitor among young and successful professionals - Stirrings mixes cost $9.99 per bottle and are made from fresh lime juice, lemon, cane sugar and triple purified water. Stirrings' turnover exceeded $10 million this year and the company's owners believe that figure will rise to $100 million in the next five years.

Staking out new territory was not easy. According to the founders, what brought them luck was the decision to invite professional manager Paul Nardone, former CEO of the organic food company Annie's Homegrown, to work for the company. He became CEO of the company in October 2004.

He immediately dramatically changed the company's business strategy. Production was outsourced and 25 people were laid off before Christmas. Nardone decided that the product, previously marketed under the name Nantucket Off-Shore to no one but locals, needed to be rebranded into something that could be sold to people outside of its home state. This is how the Stirrings brand was born. "I didn't want us to remain a local product," Nardone explains.

Not all of the new director's initiatives were to the liking of the company's founders. Nardone believed that it was necessary to reduce the product line and not release anything new. But young entrepreneurs were of the opposite opinion. They relied on their understanding of the liquor and bar market. They bombarded Nardone with drink lists and menu links that included cocktails with basil or lavender infusions. “These cocktails seemed too unusual to me, but they smiled and continued to convince me,” says Nardone. Eventually they prevailed and the company released a new line of products - Stirrings Essences.

These are cocktail flavorings with flavors such as rosemary or rose petals. But this is not the only novelty. The company's product line was supplemented by a bitter tonic based on blood orange and grenadine pomegranate syrup. Nardone says his perspective has changed dramatically. He is now convinced that such a strategy will highlight the brand's distinctiveness and help maintain its leadership position.

Creelman, in turn, believes that Nardone's presence gives him confidence in his own abilities - he knows how to negotiate. "With Nardone, we cannot be confused in terms. Together we are not easy prey." (Contributed by WSJ.)
