CART WITH JAM - RECIPE No. 1

Please note that to prepare the jam gingerbread you will need a minimum amount of ingredients and very little of your free time. The jam can be anything. However, the most delicious gingerbreads are made with sour jam (for example, from plums or currants). In any case, experiment with flavors, and each time the jam gingerbread will turn out special.

1 glass of any non-candied jam;

1 cup of sugar;

1 teaspoon of soda;

2 cups of flour;

2 eggs;

Salt;

Powdered sugar for decoration.

Add soda to the jam, mix and leave for 5 minutes. By the way, do not be alarmed if, under the influence of soda, the jam acquires a strange gray tint - this will not be noticeable in baked goods.

Next, add a little sugar and salt to the jam and stir the resulting mass. Beat the eggs and also add them to the jam. While stirring, gradually add flour. You can do this by hand or using a mixer. The result should be a dough whose consistency resembles thick sour cream.

Grease the mold with butter or margarine, place the dough on it and place in the oven, preheated to 190-200 degrees. The jam crust needs to be baked for about 50 minutes.

Remove the gingerbread from the oven, cool slightly and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Ready!

It’s interesting that such a cake with jam can be used as a base for a cake. To do this, you need to cut it in half and coat it with any cream (for example, sour cream).

Gingerbread cookies, shortcakes, and gingerbread cookies are the favorite delicacies of our childhood. Our grandmothers and mothers baked them with pleasure. And although there is now a real abundance of confectionery products in stores and shops, we ourselves are also happy to pamper our sons and daughters with delicious homemade cakes.

Round mats

The subject of our discussion today is a gingerbread with jam: how to prepare the dough for it, what ingredients to take, their proportions, and so on. Let us note right away: this baking belongs to the category of the simplest, both in terms of the composition of the components and the effort expended.

A gingerbread with jam is prepared in several ways. According to one recipe, only some kind of jam is put into the dough, according to another, honey can be added.

Let's start with it! You will need 3 cups of sifted flour, a glass of jam, preferably with sourness - cherry, red or black currant, dogwood. And half a glass of honey. And also butter or baker's margarine - 100-120 grams, 1 egg, half a spoon of tea baking soda, a quarter of a glass of water.

The gingerbread with jam is prepared as follows: put honey in a bowl (if it is candied, first melt it in a water bath), pre-softened butter, water, jam, egg, mix. Add soda to the flour and pour into the sweet mixture. Knead the dough thoroughly. Grease a baking sheet with oil. Pinch off small pieces of dough (the size of a small egg), roll into balls and place on a baking sheet close to each other. This gingerbread with jam is baked for about 20 minutes at a temperature of 210 degrees. Please note: when baking, the dough spreads and the cookies turn out to be “tiles” - original and very tasty!

Rug with filling

The delicacy is prepared in other ways. And then you will have a gingerbread cake. The recipe with jam looks like this: pour flour (600-750 grams), a spoonful of baking powder, 300 grams of honey and half a glass of sugar, a little water (for kneading) and 4 tablespoons of butter or margarine into a bowl.

Knead the dough from the listed products. Divide it into 2 parts, roll them into 2 layers, preferably the same perimeter and 8 mm thick. Grease the baking sheets with oil and bake a cake on each. Grease one of them with thick jam and cover with the second. Trim around the edges, giving the baked goods the correct round shape. So you have a wonderful gingerbread! The recipe with jam that we offer you is convenient in that any variety is suitable for lubrication, as long as the preservation does not turn out to be candied.

Kefir dough

You can always improve your dessert recipe using the ingredients you have on hand. For example, this is how gingerbread is baked with kefir, jam and powdered sugar.

For the dough, take a glass of sour milk (kefir, curdled milk - whatever you can find in the refrigerator), the same amount of jam, preferably thick, sugar (to taste so that the dough does not turn out cloying), 2 cups of flour and 2 eggs. You will also need soda, which should be quenched in kefir - 1 teaspoon.

Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. You should end up with a dough similar in consistency to homemade sour cream. Pour it into an oiled baking dish and place in a preheated oven (temperature +180) for half an hour. You will get a very appetizing golden brown cake made with kefir and jam. To make it even tastier, add vanillin to the dough. Can you imagine the smell of baking that will begin to spread throughout the house? By the way, note that gingerbread with jam in milk is prepared in the same way. It just needs a little more flour.

Rug for Christmas

The proposed recipe came to us from distant Dresden. It was there that it was invented and received the widest recognition among gourmets. That is why the dessert is named accordingly - Dresden.

The gingerbread is baked from yeast dough - this is its main difference from previous recipes.

You need: 250 grams of fresh heated milk, 500 grams of flour, 40 grams of yeast. Sugar 100 grams, a teaspoon of salt and a full tablespoon of grated lemon zest, 1 large egg, 200 grams of butter and the same amount of raisins, only without seeds. A pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg (ground), 50 grams of rum, a little finely chopped candied fruit, 200 grams of chopped nuts. Plus butter for the mold and powdered sugar, a little flavoring (the smell of coffee or bitter almonds).

How to bake a Christmas cheesecake

First you should prepare the dough. Milk - 4 spoons - heat until warm, crumble and dissolve the yeast in it, add a spoonful of sugar and a little flour. Stir and place in a warm place until it rises and doubles in size. Then mix the remaining flour with salt, make a depression in the center and pour the dough into it.

Next, beat in the egg, add sugar, zest, spices, flavoring, remaining milk, butter (melt in advance). Knead well into a firm, elastic dough. Cover it and let it rise some more (40 minutes). Mix washed raisins and nuts with rum and add them to the dough during the next stirring. You can add a little flour.

After it rises for the third time, you can start baking. Divide the dough into portions and roll out into flat cakes 1 cm thick. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, oil well, place the gingerbread, let it stand for another 10 minutes and place in a preheated oven. Bake until golden brown, be careful not to burn, otherwise it will turn out stale. The finished gingerbreads can be greased with jam and connected in groups of 2. Sprinkle each one generously with powdered sugar. Well, is it delicious?

And again honey and jam

Finally, another useful recipe for how to bake a gingerbread with jam - simpler than the one given above. But your honey and jam gingerbread will turn out no worse than the Dresden gingerbread, believe me.

Prepare 2 cups of flour, 1 egg, half a cup of sugar and honey and a whole glass of jam - raspberry or strawberry. A little cinnamon and ground cloves, chopped almonds, soda on the end of a teaspoon and salt to taste.

First, beat the egg with sugar and salt. Then add honey and add spices. Mix flour with baking soda and add to the egg mixture. Knead the dough well. Then place it in a greased pan and sprinkle with nuts. Bake until done for about 20 minutes (temperature - 200-210 degrees). While still hot, cut in half lengthwise. Spread with jam and combine. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy the deliciousness with aromatic tea!

Gingerbread is the simplest pastry, very tasty, similar to gingerbread, usually Lenten, because gingerbreads used to be baked for Christmas and during Lent to please the children. Fillings can be very different - nuts, candied fruits, raisins, dried fruits. The sweetness also needs to be adjusted to your taste, for example, I don’t like too sweet baked goods. It is better to cut the gingerbread when it has cooled, even let it sit for a couple of hours. I cut it hot to show the results faster.

Surely you’ve heard the expression: “No price at all...”. It means disagreement, unwillingness to take someone's side or take some action. It follows that gingerbread is something very good, tasty, and valuable. Want to check it out? Then you've come to the right place!

In this article you will learn how to quickly and easily prepare delicious gingerbread! A little general information, then a selection of step-by-step recipes with photos and videos, and at the very end useful culinary tips. In general, I recommend that you read it, repeat it, and in the end you will get those same gingerbreads. Then you will pronounce the phrase mentioned at the beginning of the article with maximum awareness!

What it is

Gingerbread is a sweet and fragrant flour product that looks and tastes like gingerbread, pie, sponge cake, cupcake, in general, some kind of pastry (photos are below). Why is there such a spread? There are just a lot of recipes, different combinations that have been invented that do not necessarily meet any standards.

The classic, traditional gingerbread is made from the so-called “gingerbread dough”. The composition of such a dough usually includes honey, flour, some aromatic spices, dried fruits, etc. For tenderness, additional water, juice or brewed tea is often added.

Most often, gingerbread is presented as a Lenten pastry, i.e. The dough for it is made without eggs, milk, butter and other quick products. But, to be honest, it tastes better with baked goods. I also want to note that yeast is usually not added.

The gingerbread can have a complete appearance without filling (for example, like). But they often make it with filling. The finished baked goods are cut from the bottom to create two shortcakes. The lower part is covered with honey, jam or something else sweet, covered with the second part and allowed to soak for several hours. In fact, it will be even closer to cakes.

Recipes

Kefir gingerbread with jam

A simple and very affordable recipe for gingerbread with jam. Yes, there is kefir and eggs. This option cannot be called lean or vegetarian. But what a yummy it turns out!

Soft and sweet, very aromatic and appetizing dough, soaked in jam. The most wonderful dessert for tea!

Any jam will do, as long as it is seedless. If you wish, you can also use store-bought jam.

Ingredients:

  • Jam – 1 glass;
  • Sugar – 1 cup (if the jam is very sweet, then less is possible);
  • Wheat flour - 1.5 cups;
  • Chicken egg – 1 pc.
  • Kefir (any fat content) – 1 glass;
  • Cocoa powder – 3 tbsp. spoons (optional);
  • Baking soda – 1 teaspoon;
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon (you can use soda again);
  • Ground ginger – 0.5 teaspoon;
  • Ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon;
  • Star anise – 2 pinches;
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling;

Let's start cooking

Place jam in a bowl. By the way, the good thing about this recipe is that you can use fermented jam. Add a spoonful of soda to it, stir and leave for 10 minutes.

Now add one egg, cinnamon, ginger, cocoa, star anise. Beat everything thoroughly with a whisk or spatula.

Pour sugar into a cup with a spicy sweet mixture. If your jam is already very sweet, then you don’t need to add sugar. If it’s sour, then go with your taste preferences. But every gingerbread must be quite sweet.

Sift the flour, combine with baking powder. Add it to the sweet mass, mix thoroughly until smooth.

Place the resulting soft, slightly liquid chocolate dough into the mold. If the mold is made of metal, first grease it with vegetable or butter.

The dough was leveled and the oven was preheated to 180 degrees. Place the pan with the dough in the oven for 40 minutes. You can check the readiness with a wooden toothpick - if the dough does not stick to it, then the gingerbread is ready.

We take it out of the mold and decorate the top with powdered sugar. If desired, you can cut it into 2 shortcakes and put jam or whipped cream between them. Then it will not only be very tasty, but also amazingly beautiful!

Honey cake

And this is a classic honey cake, very tasty, porous, with a deep and sweet aroma. Here we will also make it with filling.

Why is it considered a classic? Because it contains honey. Honey used to be a more accessible sweetness than regular white sugar, etc.

Ingredients:

  • Flour – 4 cups;
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Cinnamon – 1 teaspoon;
  • Cloves – 1 teaspoon;
  • Soda – 1 teaspoon;
  • Honey – 200 g.
  • Sugar – 1 glass (for those with a sweet tooth);
  • Chopped nuts – 0.5 cups;
  • Jam (jam) – 0.5 cups (for filling);
  • Powdered sugar for decoration;

Preparation

Pour sugar into a large bowl and beat in 2 eggs. Grind thoroughly with a whisk until a homogeneous light mass.

Add honey, cinnamon, cloves and soda. Mix thoroughly again. If the honey is too thick, melt it in a water bath or dilute it with a small amount of warm water.

Gradually add flour, stir constantly, first with a whisk, and then with a spoon, as the dough will turn out to be thick.

Grease a baking dish with oil, place the dough in it and smooth it out well.

Sprinkle a layer of nuts on top of the dough. You can take any nuts: walnuts, hazelnuts, or peanuts. Grind them in a coffee grinder or finely chop them with a knife.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, then place the dough in it for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.

This is how the gingerbread turns out. In theory, it can already be consumed in this form, but we will add a couple of touches that will turn this monolithic pie into a kind of cake.

Make a cut and remove the top layer of dough. Generously coat it with jam. Apple, apricot - whatever your heart desires.

Cover with the other half, press lightly, sprinkle with powdered sugar on top for beauty. That's it, this confectionery product needs to be put in the refrigerator for a couple of hours so that the dough is thoroughly saturated with the sweet filling.

  8. Bake at 180 degrees for about 20-25 minutes (if the dough is thin).
  9. Now let's make the glaze. In a saucepan, mix water with powdered sugar and lemon juice and bring to a boil. When some of the water has evaporated, pour this sweet syrup over the pie. That's it, let it cool, then blow it out and be pleasantly surprised.

Rug in a multicooker

If you can’t bake it in the oven, you can make an equally delicious honey gingerbread in a slow cooker.

It will turn out a little thicker, but will be more tender and juicy. In general, all of the above recipes are suitable for a multicooker (well, except for the previous one, the technology there is completely different).

We cook from liquid dough (as for), which means it doesn’t matter where we bake: in the oven, in a slow cooker, you can even try in the microwave.

Ingredients:

  • Flour – 1.5 cups (plus a little just in case);
  • Water (or milk) – 1 glass;
  • Sugar – 1 glass
  • Refined vegetable oil – 0.5 cups;
  • Honey (or jam) – 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • Cocoa powder – 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • Baking powder – 1 teaspoon;
  • Any spices – 0.5-1 teaspoon;
  • Nuts, dried apricots, raisins – 1 cup;

Preparation

  1. If necessary, rinse and chop nuts and dried fruits (especially dried apricots).
  2. Pour water, oil into a saucepan, add honey and spices. Place on the stove and cook for 10 minutes until the sugar and honey dissolve in the mixture.
  3. Let it cool. Sift the flour with baking powder, add it to the sweet liquid and knead into a soft dough. We also send cocoa and dried fruits and nuts here.
  4. Mix everything until smooth.
  5. Grease the multicooker bowl with butter (or margarine); you can also lightly sprinkle it with breadcrumbs. Lay out the dough.
  6. Turn on the baking mode and wait 60-70 minutes. In a slow cooker, flour dishes usually take longer to cook.

As you understand, preparing this dessert at home is the simplest thing! Not only simple, but also monotonous, because the cooking steps are the same everywhere. Only the flavoring and aromatic additives change.

But nothing stops you from introducing something new into the composition every time. Below are some useful ideas on this topic.

  • The dough for this dish can be kneaded with sour cream, yogurt, whey, fruit syrup, etc.
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables will help add juiciness and new shades of taste. Carrots, pumpkin, apples, pears, all sorts of berries - all this can be added, even necessary!
  • You can decorate the finished dish with powdered sugar, condensed milk, nuts, melted chocolate, whipped cream or egg whites.
  • For a more refined and original aroma, add a couple of spoons of cognac, whiskey, wine or liqueur to the dough.
